11. Legislation

  • Water Rights Legislation Progresses - AB 460 (Bauer-Kahan) increases SWRCB's enforcement authority of water theft and AB 1337 (Wicks) allows SWRCB to oversee the amount of water used by all water right holders, including riparian.
  • Water Supply Planning Legislation Progresses - SB 366 (Caballero) requires State to develop long-term water supply targets in the 2028 update of the CA Water Plan.

  • Delta Protection Commission (DPC) - Update on NHA Management Plan, DPAC, and other activities.
  • SWRCB/Delta Watermaster - Update on release of water rights fact sheets, water use reporting, and other activities.
  • Delta Habitat Project - Update on bioacoustics barrier and other restoration projects. 
  • SWP/CVP - DWR released a strategic plan and delivery capability report for the State Water Project and a long-term drought plan.
  • Delta Stewardship Council (DSC) Update.
